After having left school at an early opportunity, Alison decided during her early twenties to return to education in Solihull and qualify in the legal field. She immediately chose to specialise in family law after discovering a natural ability to empathise with her clients and their difficult situations.
Ali spent eight years practising in Worcester and immediately prior to joining Woolley & Co spent last four years practising in Stourbridge and the wider West Midlands. For a while she was a Head of the Family Department but prefers a role where she has more time available for clients.
Alison’s experience is recognised by her membership of the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority Family Law Accreditation Scheme. She is also a member of Resolution – First for Family Law (formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association).
Alison deals with all aspects of family law including divorce, complex financial matters, any issues concerning children, separation agreements and pre-nuptial, living together / co-habitee agreements.
Alison takes time to listen to her clients and explains her advice and the procedures involved clearly. She is committed to her clients and achieving the best possible outcome, taking a robust approach where necessary. Clients often report they appreciate the frank and honest approach Alison adopts when delivering advice whilst still maintaining a supportive and friendly rapport.
Alison’s hobbies and interests are mainly centred around her young son who keeps her pretty busy. She does however have a passion for Latin American and Ballroom Dancing. She still loves to dance when the opportunity presents and is also able to teach beginners.
