Mr W. Frearson established Frearsons over 120 years ago which was then taken over by his son Mr Raymond Frearson. Raymond Frearson was a past president of the Lincolnshire Law Society and was a keen sportsman having played football, hockey and golf at County standard.
Frearsons was joined by Mr C.E.J Sayer in 1937 who became a partner in 1949 after the Second World War. Mr Sayer, also a past President of the Lincolnshire Law Society, held a practising certificate for over 50 years and eventually retired from the firm in June 1989/ He died in 1994 at the age of 80.
In 1986 the name of the firm changed from “Frearson, Son and Sayer” to “Frearsons” and in 1989 the firm merged with Colin Seymour and Co.
The current partners, Peter Downing, Colin Seymour, Michael Phelps and Helen Fisher have lead the firm through a period of substantial growth to a staff of over 50. In recognition of Frearson’s commitment to providing the highest standards of client service, the firm has been awarded the Legal Services Commission’s Quality Mark and achieved the Law Society’s LEXCEL quality standard.
