Sue is an experienced family and divorce lawyer who has expertise in all aspects of family law but specialises in the financial implications of family breakdown and particularly with Navy personnel and Armed Forces Pensions.
With comprehensive experience in resolving children issues (residence, contact, specific issue and prohibited steps) she acts for both parents and grandparents. She understands the importance of taking conflict out of family disputes and encouraging solutions based on the needs of the whole family, she is a member of Resolution whose members are bound by codes of practice that ensure quick and effective resolution set to minimise the negative impact that disputes often have on children.
With experience in Civil Partnerships, Pre-nuptial Agreements, Cohabitee Disputes and Domestic Violence, Sue has extensive court experience and indeed enjoys advocacy and so can deal with your case through the Magistrates Court or the County Court should you require representation in any court proceedings.
Sue is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer which is a rapidly growing practice throughout the UK in which divorcing or separating couples can work together as a team with their respective lawyers through 4 way meetings, without the need of going to court. Disputes are resolved respectfully and the process is faster and less acrimonious than court proceedings.
Sue is very approachable and has an ability to understand her clients needs well. She appreciates the importance of keeping her clients well informed and advised at every step of the process. She manages all her cases in a methodical, professional and businesslike manner to a successful conclusion in the most cost effective way for the client.
Sue is based in Helston, West Cornwall but manages cases throughout the whole of the South West and beyond. Matters can be dealt with very efficiently by email and telephone or by personal appointment and she is very flexible and happy to travel and can also arrange out of hours appointments to suit the clients needs.
